Emotional Pain: How do you cope?
Experiencing overwhelming, high stress, or strong emotions, such as sadness, anger, guilt, and shame can all have a significant effect on an individual’s functioning, whether at work or outside of work. Challenges can arise when individuals with emotional pain turn to maladaptive coping strategies, such as alcohol and substances, overeating, gambling, etc. to “get by” or “cope”. In this webinar participants will learn about the connection between emotional pain and substance use, the warning signs, and when and where to seek support.
