Please add any questions you have today about screening, triage, and patient flow in the chat
Luana Araujo
36:24
I have a question about downgrading patients in that flow. When a patient is admitted to the ICU, what is the criteria - besides clinical improvement - to move him to a ward?
Jennifer Stevens
37:05
how many days can an N95 be reused? can a standard surgical mask be used?
Isack Lekule
38:34
In the picture of the Health care worker why she/he wears surgical mask on top of N95 respirator?
Thanduxolo Doro
38:43
Is it not advisable to wear masks in public then? Not necessarily N95
Yohanes Risky Shellen Ginting
40:02
In Indonesia, there were found some cases without showing any symptoms. They look healthy. However, when the rapid tests were conducted including in public places, there were some people found with CoViD positive. Any suggestion about this?
Hopkins CGH
40:56
We are recording your questions, if we cannot get to them today we will add them to our resource page
Abigail Hankin-Wei
41:36
@Isack Lekule — the surgical mask on top of the N95 keeps the N95 from getting contaminated due to touching or droplets, if you need to reuse them
Luana Araujo
42:05
In LMICs like Brazil, N95 are being used up to 15 days. Yes. 15 days.
Jennifer Stevens
43:24
in Bangladesh most patients are denying symptoms because of the stigma. add a lack of IR thermometers and it makes basic triage challenging. Additionally we are sharing and reusing all PPEs, including surgical masks. Should we just assume all have COVID?
Hana Hanfi
43:56
Should health care workers start quarantining from their families before getting sick/testing positive?
Jennifer Stevens
45:02
we are housing our HCW at the empty schools next to the hospital, partly to quarantine them, partly to protect them from the stigma
rizky ocktarini
46:39
is it ok to reuse N95? for how long, and is it enough to sterilised it by UV sterilisator like for bottle sterilisator?
Luana Araujo
47:44
This tool is focused on the most prevalent presentation of the disease - with respiratory symptoms. What about those with atypical presentation? Miocarditis? Pericarditis? Are you testing them all at this moment?
Jordyn Gamiel
49:12
If you want to see a study assessing N95 decontamination and reuse, please read this study done by researchers at NIAID: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.11.20062018v1
