One of our faculty members (Dr. Amer Saati, formerly of Northwell and now at Sutter Health) talks about each of those tools. So am glad you’re helping reinforce on the chat these tools of the trade!
How do you plan to compete with other apps that claim to do similar things, some of which are integrated with Apple Health? Are you confident your IP is viable in this potentially crowded space?
Hi Mudi! (I used to work in the same department) Let’s catch up soon. firstname.lastname@example.org
Awesome job Team Airz!
Please join us again next week for a Fireside Chat with emocha & Neil Davis! Details at www.anchorventures.org
A key competitive advantage over some of the other available apps would be FDA approval for clinical use.
Judge Susan Carr from Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions: https://www.johnshopkinssolutions.com/about/
To answer Norm Marcus Number of malpractice LOSSES incredibly hard to calculate because most malpractice suits get settled. Total Claims in billions each yr and in speaking to plaintiff/defense lawyers they say a good informed consent (ie complete) can make or break these cases
Yes - prescribing DTx is definitely where things are going. CVS and Express Scripts both released digital formularies in 2019, and CVS has apps now that can be prescribed - Sleepio from Big Health was the first app on the formulary. IQVIA has also done some great work in this area with their acquisition AppScripts
Regarding EPIC/Cerner question: Unfortunately surgeons are not using their consent apps because they are not surgeon centric. Surgeon’s are the users these apps need to recruit. This is why the crowdsourcing feature is so crucial because surgeon’s culturally are individualsitic
Can anyone provide the Airz website? Missed it.
We thank you Dr. Acharya for all you are doing!
awesome presentation Bijay

If you have questions please leave them in the Q&A - I will try to get our presenters to leave answers for you
Thank you Bijay for your service!
Great presentations! If any of the presenters need to organize/annotate their unstructured data, I started a medical data annotation company out of Johns Hopkins Bayview last winter and we recently relocated to SF! We are happy to offer discounts to HEXCITE companies and early stage startups. Remember, Medical + Annotate = Meditate! Go to MeditateAI.com! Contact: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaeldnguyen93/ email@example.com
To learn more about the rise of Rose please go to: https://www.askrose.com
@William Floyd - IPASS e-view still requires significant manual input, focuses on the format rather than clinical variables. You still are encouraged to print it. We hope to reach out to them to find ways to work together as bulk of the effort is behavioral change management for clinicians to use the IPASS format.
After the event, be sure to check out this interview Dr. Peters did at the StartUp Health Festival back in February of this year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7z9xlzV3nA
