The National Information Platforms for Nutrition (NIPN) is an initiative conceived to support countries in strengthening their information systems for nutrition and advising policymakers through an evidence-based approach. Guatemala is one of the nine NIPN platforms that has not only achieved great progress since the implementation of the NIPN, but has gone an extra-mile by piloting the initiative at the decentralized level in the municipality of Momostenango. During this webinar, Cristina Lopriore, the international expert that has accompanied the development of a case study on the Guatemala experience will guide us through the results and recommendations of the study. Opening remarks will be rendered by Ms. Lizett Guzman, sub-secretary of SESAN (Secretary for Food Security and Nutrition) alongside an intervention from Eduardo Say, NIPN coordinator at the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE). The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Simultaneous interpretation will be available in English, French and Spanish.
