Closing the evidence gap for food systems transformation – enabling access to data and providing evidence to monitor progress
Join Jessica Fanzo, interim Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Food Ethics and Policy, and director of the Global Food Ethics and Policy Program at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), for a conversation with a multisectoral panel of speakers from the Government of Kenya, Kroger, Consumers International, ReFED, the Micronutrient Forum, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and Google to discuss the opportunities and challenges to using data in service of food systems transformation.

This session will feature a moderated panel discussion followed by an open Q&A. The organizers will also be hosting a workshop on August 12, where attendees are invited to co-design a potential foundational infrastructure that could be shared across organizations. The goal of this session is to inspire creative thinking about what can be possible, to use resources efficiently, and increase the ability to share data and analysis tools easily and securely.
